Ultimate Grilled Gouda

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Hilltop Hearth® Sourdough Bread
  • 1 oz. Rykoff Sexton® Oven Roasted Tomatoes, chopped
  • 3-4 ea. Cross Valley Farms® Fresh Basil, leaves picked
  • 2 ea. Metro Deli® Hickory Smoked Gouda Cheese Slices

PREPARATION

  1. Spread 1 tablespoon butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. With butter side down, top each slice of bread with smoked Gouda slices, basil and oven-roasted tomatoes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter. Add two slices of bread, butter side down. Cook until bread is golden and cheese is starting to melt (about 2 minutes).
  4. Flip one piece of bread on top of the other and continue to cook until cheese is melty (about 30 seconds more).
