Fried Green Chickpeas

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. Monarch® Green Chickpeas
  • 3 T Monarch Corn Starch
  • 1 tsp. Monarch Kosher Salt
  • .5 tsp. Monarch Black Pepper

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat fryer to 350°F.
  2. Coat frozen green chickpeas in corn starch, shake off any excess.
  3. Fry chickpeas for 45 seconds to 1 minute, or until crispy.
  4. Remove from fryer and season with salt and pepper. 
  5. Garnish salads or flatbread, or serve as an appetizer.
