Cottage Pie

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb. Cattleman’s Selection® Pot Roast
  • 1 ea. Monarch® Low Sodium Brown Gravy Mix
  • 4 to 6 c Cross Valley Farms® Homestyle Mashed Potatoes
  • 3 T Glenview Farms® Unsalted Butter
  • 2 c Cross Valley Farms Yellow Onion, small dice
  • 1 c Cross Valley Farms Celery, small dice
  • 1 tsp. Monarch Dried Thyme
  • 1 c Monarch Peas and Carrots
  • 1 tsp. Monarch Worcestershire Sauce

PREPARATION

  1. Remove defrosted pot roast from packaging and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat mashed potatoes according to package directions.
  3. Make brown gravy according to package directions, adding in 1 tsp. of dried thyme.
  4. Sauté onions and celery with Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Combine peas and carrots, sautéed onions pot roast, adding just enough gravy to keep it moistened.
  6. Top with warmed mashed potatoes and place into the oven to bake for 20-30 minutes at 350ºF until golden brown and bubbling.
