Product Details

A celebrated traditional dish originating in Rome, stuffed zucchini blossoms are a common street food in the spring and summer months in Italy, when zucchini plants are blossoming. Our version is filled with an all-cheese blend of Italian ricotta and mascarpone, a delicious and customizable offering that chefs can make their own with many sauces and creative applications. To keep the batter light and crispy, we chose to add yeast to ours to provide control and consistency, yielding a thin, crispy coating that lets the creamy cheese and delectable zucchini blossom flavors shine through. These versatile blossoms are wonderful as an appetizer with a marinara or lemony vinaigrette, or as a topping on a salad, pizza or flatbread. We recommend slicing them lengthwise to capture the striking visual of these bright and delicate blossoms full of creamy cheese.

Preparation Instructions

  • Deep Fryer: Deep-fry in hot oil at 350°F until desired crispiness, around 4 - 4.5 minutes
  • Oven: Bake at 400°F for 10-15 minutes. Heat until reaching a minimum internal temperature of 145°F
