VEGETABLES

POTATOES

Russets  arrow steady

The russet potato market is steady this week. Out of Idaho, Washington and Oregon, 70 ct. and 90 ct. are steady, with moderate supply reported. Fairly light demand is reported for product out of Washington and Oregon, while moderate demand is reported for product out of Idaho.

Reds  arrow steady

The red potato market out of Wisconsin and Minnesota-North Dakota is steady this week, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

Yellows  arrow steady

The yellow potato market out of Florida is steady this week, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

CABBAGE

Round Green  arrow steady

The cabbage market is mixed this week. Product out of California and Arizona is steady, while product out of Florida is down, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported. Product out of Mexico crossing through Texas is also down, with moderate supply and light demand reported.

LEAF LETTUCE

The green leaf lettuce market out of Arizona is down this week, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

Romaine  arrow up

The romaine lettuce market out of Arizona is up this week, with light supply and good demand reported.

ICEBERG  arrow down

The iceberg lettuce market out of Arizona is down this week, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

GARLIC  arrow steady

The garlic market is steady this week, with good supply reported. Vendors expect this supply to remain steady until early summer, when the new harvest begins.

ONIONS  arrow steady

The onion market out of Washington-Western/Central and Oregon Idaho-Eastern Oregon is steady this week, with moderate supply and good demand reported.

MUSHROOMS  arrow steady

The mushroom market is steady this week. Vendors report that mushroom supply is steady, and they expect it to remain that way.

CILANTRO  arrow steady

Out of California, 30’s are down, while 60’s are up, with light supply and moderate demand reported.

CUCUMBERS  arrow steady

The cucumber market is mixed this week. Product out of Mexico crossing through both Texas and Nogales, Arizona, is down, with moderate supply and fairly light demand reported. Product out of Central America imported through Florida is also down, with light supply and fairly light demand reported. Meanwhile, product out of Florida is steady, with light supply and good demand reported.


CELERY  arrow up

The celery market out of California and Arizona is up this week, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

Yellow Squash & ZUCCHINI  arrow steady

Out of Florida, the yellow squash market is steady this week, while the zucchini market is up, with moderate supply and good demand reported.


GREEN BEANS  arrow down

The green bean market is down this week. Out of Florida, and out of Mexico crossing through Nogales, Arizona, Round green beans are down, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.


BELL PEPPERS

Green  arrow steady

The green bell pepper market is mixed this week. Product out of Florida is down, with moderate supply and fairly light demand reported, while product out of Mexico crossing through Nogales, Arizona, is up, with light supply and moderate demand reported.

Red  arrow up

The red bell pepper market out of Mexico crossing through Nogales, Arizona, is up this week, with light supply and moderate demand reported.

Hot  arrow up

The hot pepper market is up this week. Anaheims, Habaneros, Jalapeños and Poblanos are all up, with moderate supply and fairly good demand reported.


CARROTS  arrow steady

The carrot market is mixed this week. Product out of California is steady, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported, while product out of Mexico crossing through Texas is up, with moderate supply and fairly good demand reported.

The cauliflower market is mixed this week. Product out of California is steady, while product out of Arizona is up, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

The Roma tomato market is mixed this week. Product out of Mexico crossing through both Texas and Nogales, Arizona, is up, with moderate supply and fairly good demand reported. Product out of Florida is steady, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

Grape & Cherry  arrow steady

The Cherry tomato market out of Florida is down this week, with light supply and fairly light demand reported, while the Grape tomato market out of Mexico crossing through Texas is up, with moderate supply and fairly good demand reported.


HANGING FRUIT

Apples and Pears

Apples  arrow steady

Out of Washington, Fuji, Gala, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp and Red Delicious are all steady this week, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

Pears  arrow steady

The pear market is mixed this week. Out of Washington, Bosc variety is steady, while D'Anjou variety is down, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

LIMES  arrow up

The lime market is up this week. Out of Mexico crossing through Texas, 150’s, 200’s and 250’s are all up, with fairly light supply and fairly good demand reported.

ORANGES  arrow down

The orange market out of California and Arizona is down this week, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.

STRAWBERRIES  arrow steady

The strawberry market is mixed this week. Product out of Santa Maria, California, is up, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported. Product out of Oxnard District, California, and out of Mexico crossing through Otay Mesa, California, is also up, with moderate supply and fairly light demand reported. Meanwhile, product out of Mexico crossing through Texas is down, with moderate supply and light demand reported.

The grape market is mixed this week. Out of Chile imported through Philadelphia, White Seedless is up, while Red Seedless is down, with moderate supply and moderate demand reported.


TROPICAL

PINEAPPLES  arrow steady

The pineapple market is mixed this week. Out of Central America imported through Philadelphia, 5, 6 and 7 count are up, while 8 count are steady, with fairly light supply and good demand reported. AVOCADOS  arrow up

The avocado market is up this week. Out of Mexico crossing through Texas, 40’s, 48’s, 60’s and 70’s are all up, with fairly heavy supply and fairly good demand reported.

The cantaloupe market is mixed this week. Out of Central America imported through South Florida, 9 ct. and 12 ct. are steady, while out of Central America imported through Southern California, 9 ct. and 12 ct. are up, with moderate supply and fairly good demand reported.

HONEYDEWS  arrow up

The honeydew market out of Central America imported through Florida is up, with moderate supply and fairly good demand reported.
